Since it's opening, July 1972, SMF Inc. has expanded its operations to include plating applications of copper, nickel, chrome, gold, silver, rhodium and brass. Plating procedures include anodizing, stripping, sand blasting, lacquering, cleaning and polishing.
Although relatively small in size, approximately 8000 square feet, SMF Inc. has the production capabilities of plating shops four times its size. Moreover, its usage of raw materials is half that of most other plating shops, this is attributed to the complete recycling of raw materials used during rinsing operations.
In all industries today it is important to be knowledgeable of the requirements concerning the environment. Keeping in compliance with federal agencies such as OSHA and the EPA play an important role in the company's day to day operations. Our chief executives are Certified Environmental Compliance Manager (CECM) and are registered in the national registry of compliance engineers.
SMF Inc.'s plating services are utilized primarily for the completion of a product by a broad number of customers and industries. Most customers have been with us for over 15 years and some since the beginning.
